⚠️ ATTENTION – Packaging Update (After February 2026)

To improve durability and better protect your tape during shipping and storage, we recently reinforced the box construction.

As a result of this upgrade, the push-out opening on the side may feel tighter than expected and can be difficult to open without additional assistance.

We recommend carefully using a small knife or blade to open the push-out section cleanly.

If you experience any difficulty opening the box, please reach out to us. We’re happy to guide you through it and if the packaging causes inconvenience, we’ll make it right.

Thank you for being part of the Tool Troopers community. We’re constantly improving our products and sometimes that means making them tougher in more ways than one.

How to Use the Push-out opening:

  • Pull the tape through the opening
  • Do not remove the roll from the box
  • Do not remove the film pieces on each side of the tapes
  • This protects the adhesive and prevents tangling

Important Notes

  • Need help? Don’t hesitate to contact us with questions.
  • Surface matters: If the surface fails, the tape will fail with it.
  • Cure time is critical: Mounting too early is the #1 cause of failure.
  • Reclosable fastener: The hook & loop can be opened and closed, but the adhesive is designed for long-term placement.
  • To remove Titan Patch Pro Hook & Loop tape adhesive on surfaces, you must use Isopropanol or another cleaner. This tape is built to hold and not be moved.
  • No shortcuts: Skipping prep or cure time will reduce holding strength.
  • Keep tape out of reach of children

1. Purpose & Product Overview

TITAN PATCH PRO Hook & Loop Tape is designed to mount items securely without tools, drilling, or wall damage.

It allows you to:

  • Mount items cleanly
  • Adjust or remove items when needed
  • Keep the adhesive base in place while reattaching the item

Available Versions

  • Indoor Version: Wall-safe adhesive for smooth, finished indoor surfaces
  • Outdoor Version: Stronger, weather-resistant adhesive for exterior, garage, and rougher environments
  • Patch Version: Pre-cut strips using the same adhesive as the Outdoor version

All versions use the same hook & loop fastening system.
The difference is the adhesive strength and environment rating.

2. Weight Capacity & Load Guidelines

  • Holds up to 20 lb per 4 × 4 inch patch
  • Rating is based on:
    • Clean, smooth, stable surfaces
    • Proper surface prep
    • Full adhesive cure time (78 hours)
    • Downward (shear) load, not pull-away force

Important Load Rules

  • Use more tape for heavier items
  • Distribute weight evenly with multiple strips
  • Wider or taller items should always use multiple attachment points

More surface contact = stronger hold.

3. Surface Compatibility

Choosing the right version for your surface ensures maximum hold and long-term performance.

Indoor Version - Recommended Surfaces

Best suited for smooth, finished indoor surfaces such as:

  • Painted drywall (solid, well-bonded paint)
  • Finished wood
  • Glass
  • Tile
  • Metal
  • Plastic
  • Powder-coated materials
  • Smooth cabinets and furniture

Designed for controlled indoor environments.

Outdoor & Patch Versions – Recommended Surfaces
(Works on the same surfaces as Indoor + the ones below)

Built with a stronger, weather-resistant adhesive designed for:

  • Brick (sealed preferred)
  • Concrete (sealed preferred)
  • Metal (aluminum, steel)
  • Exterior painted surfaces
  • Vinyl siding
  • Sealed wood
  • Garage walls
  • RV surfaces

Handles:

  • UV exposure
  • Moisture
  • Temperature swings

Raw Masonry & Rough Surfaces

  • Can work on raw brick or concrete
  • Hold strength may be reduced compared to sealed or smooth surfaces
  • Extremely rough or uneven textures reduce adhesive contact area

More surface contact = stronger hold.

Do NOT Use ANY Titan Patch Hook & Loop Tape On

  • Wallpaper
  • Flaking or peeling paint
  • Crumbling drywall
  • Loose plaster
  • Weak or unstable surfaces

Important:
If the outer surface layer fails, the adhesive will come off with it.

4. Tools & Materials Needed

Before installation, make sure you have:

  • TITAN PATCH PRO Hook & Loop Tape
  • Clean cloth or paper towels
  • Isopropyl alcohol (recommended. Other cleaners can be used.)
  • Scissors (if cutting tape)
  • Hairdryer (for safe removal later, if needed)

5. Step-by-Step Installation

Step 1: Clean the Surface

  • Remove dust, oil, grease, or residue
  • Wipe with isopropyl alcohol or similar cleaner
  • Let the surface dry completely

This step is critical for maximum hold.

Step 2: Prepare the Tape

  • Cut tape to size
  • Measure up where you want your tape.
    • Customer tip: Press hook and loop together first
This ensures perfect alignment before mounting

Step 3: Apply the Adhesive

  • Peel backing from one side
  • Press firmly onto the surface
  • Smooth from the center outward to remove air bubbles
  • Apply strong, even pressure for at least 30 seconds

Step 4: WAIT Before Mounting (CRITICAL)

  • Minimum wait time: 24 hours
  • Full bond strength: Up to 72 hours

The adhesive needs time to cure.
Mounting too early will significantly reduce holding power.

Step 5: Mount the Item

  • Press the item onto the mounted strip
  • Apply firm pressure to fully engage the hook & loop fastener

Your mount is now locked in.

6. Repositioning & Reuse

  • The hook & loop fastener can be opened and closed repeatedly
  • To detach safely:
    • Twist clockwise
    • Do not pull straight away from the wall

Important Tip for Frequently Removed Items

  • Avoid using very large hook & loop pieces on the item itself
  • Large pieces increase pull force on the wall-mounted adhesive

If an adhesive strip pulls off:

  • Replace it with new tape (Clean previous adhesive off properly, before reapplying)
  • Do not reuse old adhesive strips

7. Safe Removal Instructions

  1. Separate the hook & loop first
  2. Use a hairdryer on low heat for a few minutes
  3. Slowly peel the adhesive strip at a 45° angle
  4. Take your time, do not rush

Residue Removal

  • Use Goo Gone or isopropyl alcohol
  • Gently scrub until clean

Why It May Leave Residue

To ensure a strong, reliable hold, the adhesive is designed to bond tightly to the mounting surface. That bond strength is what keeps your item secure over time.

In most cases, especially after long-term installation or on porous surfaces, adhesive residue will remain.

This is normal for high-performance mounting adhesives.

How to Remove Residue

  • Apply low heat (hairdryer) if needed
  • Use isopropyl alcohol or a mild adhesive remover
  • Wipe gently with a cloth

With a bit of cleaner and knuckle grease, surfaces can be restored cleanly.

8. Indoor & Outdoor Use Notes

  • Indoor tape is designed for controlled environments
  • Outdoor and Patch versions handle:
    • UV exposure
    • Moisture
    • Temperature swings
  • Recommended for garages, RVs, exterior walls, brick, and concrete

9. Storage & Shelf Life

Storage Guidelines

  • Keep tape in its original box
  • Store in a dry room with stable temperature
  • Avoid heat, moisture, and direct sunlight

Shelf Life

  • 5+ years when stored properly
